    Hello There

Today being November 11, I am thinking about
my father. He served in the Royal Canadian Engineers
during World War 2 and the Korean War.

He was a proud man who proudly served his
    country. :salut
My father was and still is my hero.

I love you Dad and I am so proud of you!

    Mike

My thoughts go out to Mike's Father, and all of the others who made sacrifices to give us the life that we lead today.

Every year I follow the silence at our school. I am proud to say the Oundle School has 2 ex-pupils who where awarded the VC in one of the wars. It makes a lump in my throat when at 11 O'Clock the pupils gather in the Cloisters area in the school with the staff and observe the respect that these people deserve.

Being part of the Sea Cadet Corps, we have the main service on Sunday.

Nov 11 always brings back stories my father would tell me about his uncles in WW1, as several perished on the Western Front in the trenches. The extended family basically lost most of a generation of men to the War.
