Hi,

I have been keeping my eye out for jobs over the last 9-12 months. I am realistic and have been applying for jobs which I think I would at least get a "no" from! But only 2 people so far have bothered to reply saying thanks but no thanks

Today, someone phoned me and asked me why I wanted the job. I gave the guy quite a good answer (well, i thought so!) and he said he will be on touch. I asked if there was much interest which he said yes, but I was the only app so far that has any certs and genuinely interested in IT and progressive training.
Not going to count my chickens, but it is better than no reply!

It's tough out there mate.
Not only IT - everyone is having a hard time.
Just remember that you're a good, honest bloke and you just need to get a foot in the door.

* they don't have to cough up to train you as opposed to someone without the certs,
* proves that you are interested in your field and
* suggests that your capable of learning something!
