Well there's a couple. First group I've know about for a while but I can't help but spread the word, say them live a number of times in Vancouver, awesome group and group of people:

And as for not being able to get out of head this really bizzare cross-genre mixup is right up there!

My girls love babymetal and I'm always on spotify clicking random bands to find new stuff. I've been into mostly metal for over 20 years so things have come and gone in that time but at the moment I'm loving the industrial/Operatic stuff that comes out of the nordic regions. If you've not heard it in a while you have to listen to war of the worlds, they have fairly recently rerecorded it and if you can pardon the inclusion of Gary Barlow in it then there are some great musically descriptive additions to the score.

I love seasick steve too and a good smattering of Johnny Cash

I'm a big fan of the Jeff Wayne original of War of the Worlds, I'll have to take a listen to the new version! I've been listening to a fair amount of Týr from the Faroe island recently too.

Yes me too, I first heard it as a nipper on record in the 80's, it blew my tiny mind back then and i still listen to it at least once a month now! I was a little worried first time I listened to the new version but its really good.

I agree, the first time I heard Liam narrating I wasn't too keen but actually I was comparing old with new (having just listened to the excellent Richard Burton narrate it) when I then listened to Liam Neeson but now having just played it without comparing it and I really loved it.
