Music Server Problem

Ive got a music server setup (netgear MP101) not the best but nice and cheap now. Its running on wireless connection (dlink G604T). It runs fine if i disable my firewall (bitdefender) but if i turn it on i get problems where i cant connect to server, it still connects to network tho. Ive set firewall to allow incoming/outgoing connections to server, but still no joy. Does anyone know where i maybe going wrong with bitdefender? Cheers

have you forwarded the correct ports on your firewalls?

Which specific "bitdefender" product are you using?

 

Personal software firewalls running on your PC will most likely block the ports that your MP101 uses.

You need to open various ports as outlined on this page http://kbserver.netgear.com/kb_web_files/n101284.asp
