Hi aside from doing degree studies and looking for IT roles, I'm looking at the long term of my career and would love to focus on .NET development/becoming a .NET Developer.

I do some freelancing currently for small businesses creating databases and similar POS systems and would like to see my self in a contract company role in the future (3-4 years)

I've been considering going for the MTA 98-372, 98-361 , 98-362 to pump up my CV but unsure of the 'value' of these.

What other alternatives would there be?

    Any Advice would great!
    Thank you for your time.

    Possible alternatives :-

    1. Start a blog
    2. Network at development user groups
    3. Attend coding summer schools
    4. Join one or more open source projects or start your own
    5. Market yourself based on your freelance work

Certifications are good 'CV fodder' but generally its a lottery what recruiters and employers make of them.
