    FYI guys...
    Microsoft has made Virtual PC 2004 (SP1) freely available to download from its website.
    Not sure about its Linux etc support though! :biggrin

    If this is now free as well as the server version, it makes me wonder what they're going to put into the action packs to make up for this.:rolleyes:

    Here is a great page that shows all the OS's that have been *tested* on Microsoft Virtual PC 2004.

    Yee gods, I have never seen a list of OS's as comprehensive as that before - yikes :eek:

    Warty warthog seems to be conspicuous by it's absence :dry

    No VMS either but wouldn't work anyway (except FreeVMS but it's not been officially released). Anyway, the one that caught my eye was "Windows Longhorn Server Beta 2 Build 5384". Didn't know there'd been a beta for Longhorn Server released. Was it any good?

    LOL - well spotted Gaz, I just wanted an excuse to mention the name. I think it's an excellent name and reflects the product :p ,much like the name Vista does :twisted:

    can i ask something... if all you guys have been interested in installing linux and V PC 2004 doesnt support it ever considered the switch to VMWare? I have run debian, RHEL, Fedora and Ubuntu all in VMWare with no problems at all! :oops:

    With V PC i runs Ubuntu and Fedora with no probs aswell - i have not tried the other two...

    i never tried V PC so cant comment... its just from reading here people say they have *trouble* with linux...
