Groupon had a fantastic offer on yesterday which discounted 12months access to e-careers MOS training suite from £600 to £69 plus £8 further discount. It will also offer some Crystal reports, SAP and PMP training. I am unsure how good the training is but once I have progressed through a few of the courses I will let you know what the level of quality of e-careers training.

A quick update, following the instructions provided in the email the 'voucher' does not seem to be valid. A few emails and at least 3 phone calls to the company have resulted in friendly voices but no result.

Its beginning to smell fishy to me! Lets hope they can deal with this today and I can reply with a positive result on what there actual training is like and not there ability to process a customers transaction - although if they cant get the first part right I have a bad feeling about the training!

Sorry I havent replied sooner, just to confirm I did get the problem sorted by the weekend. I logged on and began working through the excel material. Straight away I was learning some new stuff in excel 2010 I havent used yet. Also it has a lot of study material on some of the tools used within businesses ie SAP and crystal reports. Its hard to get exposure to these systems so training is a great thing to add to the CV.

A note about the companies customer service, I did get through to some very helpful individuals and some not so helpful individuals. I sent an email and received a reply a week later. The late response may be due to the large number of people who signed up for this course and the time it takes to administer such a large number of people.

    Regards,

    Ickle.

    Hey!

Although its too late to reply to this thread, yet I would also like to share my thoughts. Few weeks ago I purchased a web package from e-careers. In the beginning I too faced nitty grityy problems in getting started with the course, but eventually things fell down at right places and I could learn some really interesting and exciting stuffs. The course module is really up to the mark. Satisfactory investment.

    Nick :)

Yes adding to a thread that is nearly 6 months old can be considered bad netiquette but what makes people more suspicions is a good review, you see internet forums dont really find members making their first post to say good things about a company or product to actually be genuine. Normally people join to find advice or tell a horror story, I guess we will just have to wait and see if you return to make a contribution to the forums. Otherwise you may find your post removed and deemed as spam.

Indeed, whatever you have said is undoubtedly true. But does that mean that I must right ONLY bad reviews despite of experiencing satisfactory service. Moreover, the reason why I have posted here is because when I was SCANNING  the web for some reviews of e-careers, I couldn't get much of them. If at all there were any reviews, they were so old to guide me. So, I just thought of helping someone like me, to be very honest.

Well, I was bit sceptical about the course content while buying the deal. I was frustrated too, when I encountered a few problems but then a customer care executive came to the rescue and sorted all my problems. And after all, when I saw the course running on my system I was surprised to see so much of content and smooth presentation. It consists more than what I expected.

Thats odd, after a little google bashing I found you asking for advice on the purchasing the web package yet you say you purchased it a few weeks ago here?

Is it actually bad netiquette to reply to an old thread? I've always thought it courteous as it saves people answering the same questions over and over hehehe

Anyway, I stumbled across this site looking for reviews of the e-career training as well. I was hoping to find out information like if the training is mostly text-based, if it has video tutorials, etc.

I'm currently considering a discount deal that has this training for AU$29 which is pretty cheap ... though the fine print says that exam fees are not included. Hmmm

Anyway, given that this forum is the closest I have come to a review, I'm going to purchase it and see what I think for myself.

    Cheers!
