Strange one that ive never come across before, my dads monitor shuts off then shortly after the whole system shuts down and turns off

havnt had a go at the system yet as he jus phoned me, i was thinking power managment settings? if i can get to them in time, changing the VGA cable, or possibly a knackered video card?

anything else i should look out for?

I hate the sleep option in Vista...when you go to turn it on again...well it just doesnt go back...so u have to switch off or reboot again...well not for me...never again hehe...

 

I had this problem mate, a BIOS update sorted it out

 

I need to get me a copy of Vista!

 

mmm yeah i was thinking of getting Vista, but id have to upgrade my hardware plus with Vienna rumours going around i think ill wait and see what thats like
