anyone know if you can get an adapter preferably with a backplate to run 5v or 12v DC devices from a systems PSU?

speakers might be a problem I was thinking you were meaning hard drives or extra fans.

nah .. i once replaced a PSU that had a DC jack built in for speakers, it got me thinking if there was such an adaptor for a molex.

I have seen the ones with the jacks as I know people wh modify cars for car shows and they use them for those big ass speaker systems that go into car boots. Never seen one that has an adapter for a molex though.

I made my own little mod to a molex connector years back. I spliced in a molex socket onto a small 12v pump. So when I got to LAN parties, I could use my PC to blow my airbed up.

    Worked a treat. :)

It had air in it, and was comfy. No comment on any other details. :)
