If you're not REALLY certified... you REALLY shouldn't list it, my friend. CompTIA doesn't like that too much...

true true... i dont even list on my CV! :biggrin gone now............ :biggrin

In-house A+ is covering all the material for an A+ and doing some training companies exam not the actual Comptia exam. I did mine when i was still in school in Zimbabwe and with all the scanctions in place there was no exam so we just sat one written by the training provider. Yeah im sure you get in-house MCSE. In-house just means you dont take the actual exam.

    Zim,

Can't honestly say I have heard of *in-house*.

Any certification is governed by the respective body - otherwise you could say you were "whatever you want" Bsc Hons (in house) :)

Oh Zimbo hun, there is no such thing as an in house A+. It not right and maybe illegal for them to call it that. You could be consider a subject expert. Or even maybe a Micro Computer specialist maybe. But not a A+ inhouse. I'm glad you don't list it on your CV, just to keep yourself out of trouble.

Remember the day the Meyers A+ arrived and I thought ffs, it`ll take years to move the book from the front door to the ‘office’ never mind reading the thing! :biggrin

2 months later passed the exam and stumbled across this site....

In the spirit of this thread.. :offtopic

Similar thing happend to me Spark. I was doing the A+ course with CATS and whilst their support via e-mail was prompt, it is good to be able to chat to people and watch other threads - there is so much knowledge out there.

I was googling for some answers whilst preparing for the A+ Hardware exam and stumbles across CF.

    :offtopic :fart :biggrin

... and CF came about cos a few punters were all doing similar certs at the came time, and there was some common ground (A+, MCP).

A few folks in one camp thought they could use a little better support, so one little indian created a new camp where answers could be found... a few other brave souls followed .....
