    I always thought that the whole Home Server idea was pretty lame to begin with...

    I agree with BM on this one, I don't really find it that great, you can make any regular computer into a home server.

    no, WE can make any normal server into a home server, most people can't
    that might explain why Home Server is doing surprisingly well

    True true, but at least you can find a lot of info on the web on how to make a home server.

    Yes, and how many normal people do you think can find that information? Or the link I posted at MS describing the promble? Look at this way, weather you like it or not is mute, it is creating a job for someone when it crashes.

    Look, I agree with you, all I am trying to say is that this info can be found on the web and you don't have to be very knowledgeable in IT to accomplish something like that.

    Home server sounds quite good (apart from this issue!) as long as it stays in the home. I have a feeling some small businesses might start using it to save money.

    If you can't figure out how to make a normal computer into a home server, you're not likely to be able to manage a Home Server box very well, either. :D
