Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum and wanted some advice towards gaining my MCTS certification.

I'm currently 22 and have been working in a SQL related role for the past year and a half with no previous SQL knowledge.

The reason for wanting the certification is that I have no real SQL related qualifications apart from my current experience.

I mainly wanted to know firstly what does the exam involve? Is it simply a multiple choice question set? How are the exams marked, in terms of pass quota? How many questions are in the exam?

I'm currently around halfway through the MCTS self paced training kit book and also referring to other books and websites also.

How long did you all take to prepare for the exam and how much prior experience of SQL did you have?
