(MCDST) retired?

    Im new to this forum so please be gentle and so far you guys have saved me alot of money (Suggesting Self Study) and the posts on all certs have been a wide range of gold information :biggrin my question today is im self studying A+ at the moment then i will go on to do the N+, I was thinking of doing (MCDST) after but i wont get the other 2 exams out the way until later on next year, i have heard that the (MCDST) exam is retiring in march so what can i do after March? to help me get into IT. ( Sorry if this has been mentioned before and any advise would be fantastic)

    You can still pursue similar other Client exams from Microsoft.

    For Vista:

    MCITP: Enterprise Support Technician
    Exam 70-620 (MCTS) + Exam 70-622 (MCITP)

    For Windows 7:

    MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician 7
    Exam 70-680 (MCTS) + Exam 70-685 (MCITP)

    You can still do MCDST - you just need to get both exams done before next March.

    Still worth going for!

    Yeah, just go for the MCDST. It's (in my opinion) one of the easier exams, and you've got nearly half a year to bag those two exams. Following that, do the upgrade for MCITP and you're set =)

    Thanks guys for your info, i will do that then get A+ then N+ out the way and start doing (MCDST).
