Sorry to hear about the redundancy.

The only dealings I've ever had with NTL have been setting up my broadband. There Helpdesk guy was quite good and seemed to know what he was doing!

    Sorry to hear that.
It might not be what you want to hear, but this can be a good thing!
So many people want to get 'into' IT, but are scared to leave their jobs and security.
If you are made redundant, GO FOR IT!
Study, get experience, do your certs and get a job.
There's nothing to hold you back!

Sorry to hear the bad news mate. I don't know anything about NTL but go all guns blazing for the interview and if you get the job take it, it will be good experience. Good luck with the job hunting also. :thumbleft

Well when one door closes another door opens. I am sure it is a difficult time for you at the moment but I am equally sure that you will look back one day and think it was a blessing in disguise!

it may be a blessing.i have been earning good money and enjoying the work but i have put the certs on the back burner so to speak.i think it has given me a kick up the back side to get them all done as soon as possible.i now have around 10 months experience that i can now put on my cv so it puts me above a few people at interviews i think.

Truly positive response there, 808 - that kind of attitude generally means you will succeed in turning this unfortunate situation around and getting you to where you really want to be. Well-said. :thumbleft

    808,

Just picked up on this thread. Sorry about the redundancy, good luck for the interview. As Jonnymx quite rightly pointed out it can be the push (maybe not the right word) to get the ball rolling.
    Best of luck :thumbleft
