How well does Mac OS X run on intel machines

I have a HP dv9288 and I'm finding hard to find reliable info to say if it will run at all or well.

Do know about performance but Intel CPUs are supposed to be totally compatible with MAC os X

 

The thing about OS X is that it was written to support specific hardware, i.e. that found on the Mac's. This is different to the way that windows is written.

So to answer the OP's question I don't think that it will run at all.
