Here in Grand Cayman it's a lovely warm night, perfectly clear skies and the full moon is perfectly on display. Never seen a lunar eclipse before but it looks spooky yet great!

If you are up and around at this hour, go take a look!

You make it sound like its years away when its only 2 to be exact

 

It doesn't matter for UK anyway its always cloudy and pissing down so you can't see anything anyway.

 

I saw it as it was slowly disappearing under the shadow... didn't stick around to see it completely wiped out. Eh, it was cool, but I've seen it before.

 

I went to take pictures but discovered the battery in the camera is officially dead so I need to buy a new one. Great timing eh!

Had a pretty much perfect view of it. Not a cloud in the sky, very clear stars for some reason (maybe to do with the eclipse perhaps?) and the moon looked awesome. We caught it when it was fully eclipsed, a very burnt orange/caramel looking colour. Then it went blood red and started to go a charcoal/brown colour.

By about 11:30pm ET when I checked again, the eclipse had passed and the moon was a cresent shape.

Pretty cool stuff, not seen it before.

Did see it but I've seen a number of them before, so it's not a really big thrill at this point. Kind of cool, though.
