Now that I've submitted my first column, I guess I can let the cat out of the bag. I've been asked to write a "Tech Tools" column for Linux Pro Magazine. Jim Mohr, the site owner and administrator at The Linux Tutorial site first got me involved by suggesting that I write book reviews for them. I've been doing that for awhile and recently, the editor at the magazine offered me this "special project".

What prompted me to write about this now is that ITWire.com just published an article about how Linux Pro Mag has just acquired the US version of Linux Magazine's readership. I guess my name will be more associated with the Linux world in the near future. After all my association with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007, I thought I'd let you know that I can be a little "diverse".

Oh...it doesn't pay as much as you'd think...it's more for the publicity and experience than anything else.

    Congratulations Tripwire!

Can I be your agent? My fee is a princely 75% plus league appearances and 15% of your next sale.

I've got an agent, but she only handles my book-length projects (and for substantially less than 75%).:)

Ok 74.99%, we'll drop the 15% of your next sale but I still require a lump sum after 25 league appearances, though I suppose I could throw in a $500 goal bonus! Sheesh you drive a hard bargain! :biggrin

Speaking of which, I'd better get it finished up (almost done, actually) this weekend since it's due by the 1st (on the other hand, my book reviews were submitted last week). :)
