Looking for oldish Hardware

    Im looking to buy some oldish hardware... from someone here on CF. Im hoping to put a linux box or two together maybe i could run some other OS's too from it.

    Anyone got anything they trying to get rid off?

    Ya kidding, i just threw an old compaq desktop out the other day, ya could have had it if ya had covered the postage. Damn.

    im looking to get rid of a few old Compaq AP400s, Dual P3 500 - 600, 512MB ram each
    quite large and heavy but good systems
    not all of them have working cdroms and i havnt tested all of them (altho i can) basically getting rid of them now i've virtualised my home lab onto ESX server :)

    give me a shout as if u can arrange transport u can pick em up no charge

    If you are in London (which I think you are) then the comp fairs around Tottenham Ct Rd should have second hand stuff for not a lot.

    Also look in Loot.

    All available with Linux or win9x pre installed.

    Looking to get rid of them and am about to dump them at the council dump yard.

    If anyone is interested I'll post a complete list

    Loads of SIMMs, 'older' modem cards, coax ethernet cables and connectors, HDD etc available.

    Thanks for the reply budding. At the moment i cant actually get PC's anymore cause i would have to cart them over back home and with you luggage requirements from BA, PC parts will take up all my allocation! Thanks anyways! 8)

    If it's just parts, I have a Geforce FX5200 AGP sitting around, and two 184-pin DDR 256 DIMMS (which I think still work). I think they're just gathering dust at the mo. If I can find them and they're any use, let me know and I'll send them on
