    I was just reading this article:

    Vista Server is now officially so late that they've started calling it Longhorn again...

    true... so whats taking them so long? couldnt they just put DOS 6.2 back on the shelves and call it server 2007!

    No.
    DOS used to work properly and they wouldn't be able to issue any patches for it.
    Half of Microsoft would lose their jobs.
