Now, Im no expert, and I have never used HijackThis, but given the output, I would suggest looking through the list for anything that looks suspicious/you do not recognise, and googling the process/reg key to see what it says.

Also, what makes you think you have a virus? has your computer been behaving strangely? in what way? or have you just decided you run the program and ask the world if you have a virus.

My PC has being doing allsorts.......I just feel ad if i've been seriously hacked!! This is what is happening:

    - Internet Explorer completely shuts down after opening many tabs - This can be so annoying!! IE7

    - I use ebay a fair bit, and now after signing in and then requesting to resell or sell it prompts me to sign in again - i've been signed in, why do i have to sign in again.

    - Nationall Lottery site - request for DD form and fill in. After Submitting it goes back to original page and no confirmation.

There's definately something very fishy going on!!!.....i use AVG as my antivirus, but think i may need to use Norton.

Plus the spyware software i use - Windows defender

Please help and thank for responding to my mail

    S

I use both AVG free and Pro (depending on the machine) and I have never had a problem with it, so I dont really think thats an issue (although I have never had an outbreak so i cant comment on that aspect).

Have you checked your cookie settings? Both the second and third issues sound like your browser is not accepting cookies. I have deliberately locked down cookies on my machine and that is almost exactly the symptoms a experience if a site requires cookies and isnt set to tell me that it needs them. Adding the site to the exceptions resolves the problem (Although i sometimes need to do a force refresh on the site to give it a kick).

As for IE7 crashing, are you using vista? if so, This might be the problem.

also, have you fully patched IE?

Could also be an addon you are using in IE thats causing the crash. take a look in tools>>manage add-ins and see what you have. you could try selectively disabling them until you find the addin (if any) thats causing the issue

With regards to the IE crashing, you might want to remove the skype add-in that is placed in the toolbar.

don't forget about spybot which you can download from spybot.com, it does a decent job at finding most items, all though when it doesn't find something hijack this does. only problem with hijack this is the log files are a pain to sort through.

for those who use the free virus software, myself included, have you heard of avast? thats what i've personally been using for a couple of years now and it works great i've seen it pick up issues that the computers running avg do not. ( i have 3 computers at work 2 with avg and 1 with avast )

also on a side note with hijack this i normally look for lines that say "{no file} or {no name}" things like that. i find that those point typically to spyware or other malware.
