Limited Application Use

    OK the special needs dept want to run exams for the kids who need extra help. They want to run a machine that they can use that the kids can only run notepad to make .txt files. That is so that there is no formating, spell check etc. Thought about making another OU and putting the computer account in there but that would not stop the users from running other applications. The Computer group policy section doesn't give the option to only allow certain software to run.

    Any ideas out there!!

    um, what about clearning the start menu, disabling the run dialog
    and just havine a notepad icon on the desktop?
    we used to do stuff like that Pre GPO time, but there may be other ways around it these days, especially in the world of XP Professional with Task manager and such
