    Hi all,

Looking around for a laptop for my Dad, mainly for office applications and Video playback. Not gone laptop hunting in a while and wondered if you had any suggestions!

    Following specs required...

    Budget of up to £700
    15.6" Screen
    Full keyboard (Num Pad)
    Very good battery life
    Win 7
    Not 'girly' looking
... and thats about it really!

Quite a lot of options around but wondered if anyones spotted a particular model thats perhaps of notable mention.

    Cheers
    James

This. This. This. And, err, this. Just started speccing similar at work and they're ace. I may be a girl, but I can say hand on heart they're not girly looking. And they're really light too for the size. Not Portege light, but good enough :)

ps - you may need to shop around on model types - the pics on that link show a model without the full keyboard and number pad, but the ones I'm dishing out at work definitely have them.

Just to let you know jsh333, i had major trouble with laptops direct about 5 years ago. Picked my laptop, paid for it. got told it would be delivered on 3 separate occasions, which it never, customer service was awful and a refund took a month.

On saying that, they may have leaned how to deal with customers these days
