Arent modern laptop batteries a miracle? It seems that as the charge goes down, time remaining goes up!

Bought a new battery for my laptop, and was calibrating it for first use. Fully charged it, then discharged it over night (switching everything off so that it cuts out only when theres no charge left to power it).

    80% remaining: 1hr 55 mins
    79% remaining: 2 hrs 40 mins.

These new laptop batteries are great, I thought Id never drain the battery!:biggrin

<Grin> That amuses me on my current laptop!

The answer is, of course, that it estimates the time from the power currently being used. When the disk is actively being read/written the time will drop markedly.
