Landed my first true IT position

I will keep this short and sweet since I'm about to hit the hay.

I landed my first job today. Desktop Support Tech II. I will be getting a nice little bump in pay which is nice.

Unlike most people who throw out 100 of applications. I really only apply for 1 position at a time that I feel I meet the requirements. Each time I get an interview normally two. I have had 3 different company's interested and one finally came through.

I start in two weeks from today and I'm very excited.

Yes I think the certs always help.

I was lucky enough at my last job to do IT support for a small company. I think that experience is what let me land the job.
