Anyone here seen Lacuna Coil or plan to go see them shortly? Just wondering if it's worth getting tickets to see them.

That said, I was at the Hypocrisy concert last night and I already have my tickets for Airbourne and Slayer coming in March, AC/DC, Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth coming in June.

What a great year and it's only just started.

I've never heard of them either to be honest, but I just googled them and the lead bird looks pretty tasty!

 

I have not seen Lacuna Coil live, but I hear they are pretty good. You must be going to the Swiss leg of Sonisphere...

I am thinking about going as the festivals in the UK have signed exclusivity agreements with the "big four" so they are split among the UK festivals (Slayer and Anthrax are at Sonisphere and Megadeth is at Download - no word on if Metallica will be playing, but Download still have some headliners left to announce). I would have to go abroad if I want to see them all in the same venue which blows!

With a bit of luck, I may end up going to both festivals and rocking all summer!

Yep, the Sonisphere festival it is. As you said, it's headlined by the big 4 but also with a few others in support like Motörhead and Heaven and Hell. Should be a good day out.

 

Oh boy, I just had a look here and have seen that Amon Amarth, Volbeat and Rise Against are also booked (at least for Switzerland). I was lucky enough to see Rise Against last year and they rock.

I see that the UK version gets to see Iron Maiden, Rammstein and Fear Factory among others. Lucky gits.

 

Yeah, I guess we don't have it too bad... Had a look here and the lineup is small at the moment but good! Looking forward to the Stone Temple Pilots reunion and seeing Wolfmother live. More acts will be announced Monday and I will likely book my tickets then. Can't flippin' wait!
