Kill Switch dropped from Vista

    Sounds like MS have had to take some notice in regards to Kill switch invoking on real copies http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7126902.stm

    Yep exactly, the odd Warning isn't going to do anything.

    Kill Switch would be good if it actually did what its supposed to do.

    I agree GBL, the trouble is, MS are so crap that they would probably screw it up.

    When MS brought in Genuine Advantage, you may remember that it had a bug that would flag some OEM versions of windows as not being genuine and give a warning every time the computer booted. Turns out a m8 at work had this problem and was concerend by it enough to go out and buy another copy of XP Home Edition.

    I wonder how many other peeps around the world did the same thing and could you imagine the chaos that would ensue if MS activated the kill switch and got it wrong :eek:
