Just a quick post to say that I went back to the exam room today for my first Design exam.

I was pretty worried about this exam but luckily I survived and bagged the E in the process. In contrast to ISA where I was pushed for time I'm glad to say that after completing 3 of the 4 case studies I still had about 2 hours left and actually popped outside for a cig break.:ohmy

Finished with a score of 838 with about an hour to spare.

Points to note : Much of the exam is based around things you should know pretty well such as authentication, RRAS, VPNS, permissions and GPOs. You'll also need to have a good understanding of certificates and doing ISA prior to this exam is pretty helpful as you'll need to know where to place resources and configure firewalls/proxies to provide secure access.

The exam wasn't too bad, it was just that in preperation for this I seemed to have 3 MOCs open at once. The exam probably won't be and harder than say AD design, it is just that once you have studied for the 217, the 219 will be covering almost the same material. For the 220 you end up revising material from the 215, 216, 217 as well as needing to know about IIS, Exchange and firewalls or at least where to place them.
