Hi all just joined the site, been think of doing A+ and N+ for a long time now and wished i'd done it a long time ago when i first thought of doing it still i think now is the time so should be on here quite alot, was looking at take a course but having been on here for a hour reading though some of the threads i can see self study is the best way fw to start and much cheaper (quoted £2500 today for A+ and N+) so will start looking for the right books to start with, anyway thats me for now and hope to talk to many of you soon.

I'm in the final stages of my N+ study and, assuming I pass the exam first time, I estimate self-study will have cost me around £600 in total for both A+ and N+, £400 if which is exam fees and the rest was on books and computer hardware.
So it looks like you've just saved yourself the best part of 2 grand.
