hi i've just joined and was wandering if any one can help with this.

i have just been made redundant from my old job as a steel fabricator, and have decided to finally go into the career i shoulda done.

i already have my a+ and i am looking to do my mcsa with pitman training scotland, they also provide the training for the n+ as part of the course. i have an interview/meeting with them a week tomorrow and was wondering if any one had any experiance with them, and also if going for my cert this way is the best way to do it as i currently have plenty of time on my hands.

sorry should of said that the course is classroom based and online, and is flexable as to when i can make it to class (you book them)

    thanks for any help recieved

    Hi Welcome

How about self studying for the certs you want then you don't have to pay loads of dosh out and it show employers that your a committed person by self studying.

I would also recommend the self-study route.

In addition, you shouldn't pursue the MCSA until you have some real-world IT experience. Microsoft itself recommends that you have 6 to 12 months of experience administering client and network operating systems in mid-to-large-sized companies (not just 6 months of working in IT, but actually doing that specific job): link

With the A+, you've already got what you need to get an entry-level IT job. Other than perhaps the Network+ and MCDST certifications, more certifications aren't going to help you get your foot in the door any faster.
