Rolled into work on Friday at about dinner time, after having a brew headed down to the test machines and let Microsoft do their worst.

2 Hours later and I emerge as a MCSA : Messaging

In all not a bad exam. 45 questions with 105 mins for the actual exam. Most things were in the exam including upgrading from 5.5 / co-operability with 5.5 and quite a few questions on disc set up.

Managed to get 741 but 'Out of what??' My core sheet was 85 % black. Sad but I did measure it

My prep for this one included the MOC (Sat the course 10 months ago and put the MOC aside until upgrading Exchange); migrating our work e-mail from 5.5; setting up my own e-mail server and getting it online; as well as having a quick look at the CBT Nuggets & Learnkey training packs.

If you are studying from the 1572 MOC be warned though as it doesn't cover all of what you'll need.

I expect that using and setting up Exchange is actually the best way to study for this one. The concepts don't always make much sense until you see them in action.

    congrats mate
just out of curiosity what exam did you have to sit for that? i was looking at throwing in the exchange exams for the MCSE electives, they are both 2003 exams though, not sure if they have much to do with 5.5

I was speculating that this exam is out of about 900 and needs closer to 80% of the points available to pass.

    Thanks though :? __________________________

Phoenix I've just passed the 70-224 which is Exchange 2000.
I'm not sure about the 2003 version but I wouldn't be surprised if migration from 5.5 wasn't still included. It appears Microsoft seem to be pushing NT > 2003 upgrades and I'd be surprised if it wasn't the same for Exchange.
