Hey guys

After joining the forum a month or so ago, i posted my comments on wanting to get into Info Security and doing some security certs, and people posted it was a good idea to get some experience first, which i managed to do now! So i will go do the uni course hopefully next september.

I managed to get a part time helpdesk contract role, at the moment 4 months, but hopefully extended to at least 6. Part time being good so i can carry on my certs!

Its got a lot of network administration, like making users on active directory and servers (which is new to me!) so good for starting security stuff

Also almost finished my A+, kinda gone on hold recently because of the job, but i hope to do it in august

Thanks guys! Never thought it would happen lol. Also im fairly sure that talking about my A+ course, and intention to do more whilst i worked part time for them, helped me get the position. So thanks to this site

Cheers zimbo! Yea it involves a lot of maintance such as password resets etc in AD. Dont know how to do it yet lol, but looking forward to it! Glad to be getting exposed to the network admin side of things
