Hello everybody. I'm currently working towards MCSE on Windows 2003. I passed Windows XP (70-270) in May and am now readying myself for a retake of 70-290 having failed it in July. Sim questions let me down I think. There were four of them out of the 44 qus in the test and each one is apparently worth 100 marks.

I'm also taking the 70-306 - Windows apps with VB.net - exam on Monday.

I'm based near Southend in Essex and am looking forward to exchanging views, hints, knowledge etc...

Thanks for all the welcome messages! I did MCSE on Win NT4 five years ago and now, having 'skipped' the Windows 2000 certification, I'm now bringing myself up-to-date with Windows 2003. At least with an MCSE on NT4, I don't have to take an elective ("only" six exams instead of seven!). Anyhow it seems to be going OK so far.

Its amazing how technology has moved on in just a few years. In some cases for the better, in others perhaps not. NTFS permissions have certainly changed!

It's great to be here, and comforting to know help is at hand! My best wishes to all out there aiming for the same as me
