    Hi everyone.

Just wanted to post a positive thread about jobs. I've just managed to land one in Vancouver. I know, not the UK, but it does tick of one of my 2010 targets and it gave me a small confidence boost that I can survive the interro...sorry two-way interview process. There was a written technical test involved, which imho I could have done better on yet the employer reckoned that I had done well compared to other candidates.

So heads up, there are jobs in this world!

PS: I think they were swayed by my unique skill of being able to make a damn good cup of tea!

Cheers everyone - Didn't get lynched on the first day and dived heads in to failing back up scenarios, step in feet first!

Official title is Senior Systems Support Engineer. It's a small IT company here in Vancouver, 5 members of staff (now!), supporting Small Businesses from 5-50 staff, all MS stuff, the boss mentioned that there was one unix box out there. Few of the support companies have in house 1st line IT people, most don't, so it'll be 1st through top line for a variety of companies, lots to get my teeth in to.
