    I was approached last week by a previous employer about my old job with them. I'm not in a position to take them up on the offer but suggested that I post it here as others might be interested.     Server and Network Engineer (24-30k)

    We are looking for an engineer capable of working in a team and individually to architect, install and support a wide range of servers and networks for small to medium sized businesses throughout the Lake District and surrounding areas. Offices in Keswick.

    Responsibilities
    · SLA (contact) customer support & account management.
    · Quoting new jobs, large and small.

    Requirements (must have)
    · Install and Support Microsoft Windows Servers on SME networks using standard technologies (Active Directory, Exchange, Remote Desktop Services)
    · Understand IP networking including, Routing, VPN, Firewalls, DNS, DHCP, VLAN
    · Specify components for and build a server (hardware)
    · Support and diagnose faults in Servers and Networks

    Optional Requirements (nice to have)
    · Microsoft Qualifications in Windows Server or Exchange
    · Experience with medium and large WiFi networks
    · Experience with point to point WiFi links

    As mentioned above, I don't currently work there and have no further info.

    To give you an idea though both myself, and the current employee, have been working in IT for roughly 10 years, although this does not mean that someone with fewer years experience, but a similar knowledge base, could not do the job of course.
