Just wondering what the job market is like for 1st / 2nd support roles? I gained my MCSE in NT4 back in 2000 then upgraded to WIN 2000 the following year i was employed for 7 months in at the local council department but left as there was no chance of training or promotion. Obviously i have been out of the market for some time and lost a lot of knowledge in that time. having been drifting from one crap job to the next i am thinking of getting back in to IT. Is it really worth me doing any more exams or am i just wasting my time?

It's always worth training.

I'm currently employed as an agency LGV driver in Bristol, I'm training at home using Skillstrain on N+ (currently book 2), but I'm still applying for various IT jobs as they come along, so far all negative.

Check this forum for other training ideas, there is a lot to consider.
