So i recently had a job interview which went quite well and after about 2 weeks they have got in contact with me saying they want to "Take the role to the next stage".

They want to see me again to discuss things about training etc.

    Any ideas what this means?

I should have asked more questions but it was over the phone and i was in the middle of watching the pacific on blu ray which is amazing by the way!

Honestly it will probably be like the first interview but you will meet more people within the company.

So i have had an update, they want me to attend a 2 day training period before they consider me for the role.

As soon as i heard this two questions came to mind.

Is this a real job, or is it just another fake job where they try to sell you training courses (Although it looks genuine, it is an advertising/ recruitment company)?

Do i get minimum wage, or at least expenses because i wont have access to a car at such short notice?

They also seem unimpressed that i was unable to come to the second interview at a days notice.

The job was looking REALLY AMAZING until i received this email.

Sorry to sound negative mate, but I concur.
So you have to go on a Two day training course, yet they wont offer you the job until you have "competed / passed" the course....Sounds a bit fishy in all honesty.

2 Days pay could just be to lure you into doing a months worth of work for nothing. In my 11 years in IT I've not heard of anyone doing things the way you are describing. Ring them up and say do you mind if I ask a few questions. If they do mind walk away because you'd have to be a bit of an idiot if you didn't need to know more IMHO

I have asked lots of questions, on the phone for like 15 minutes. And a lot of the correspondence was over email so i have had to wait until today for a reply.

They just want to see if i can do the job due to a lack of experience. I have no doubt in my mind any more because i can understand their position. If they are willing to pay me that shows they are at least committed to my application.

I have just heard so many horror stories and scams when applying for IT jobs.

Got the job, it is really hard lots of SQL and VB.NET. On top of that im having to learn the system almost on my own, with a little help from some people on MSN.
