Appologies if I've offended you, its my opinion telling people the best thing you can do is job hop just for money in the current economical climate is very irresponsible. I also find someone saying loyalty is for dogs offensive, hence my comments but again, if this has offended you I appologise and I won't comment again.

Then you have to realise that the majority of us here are UK based and your salary \ rates expectations are not in league with ours.

Please understand that telling us those rates makes you look fantastic if they were GBP but convert the US$ to GBP and it's actually on par with what I would expect a decent network engineer to earn.

Also understand that the be all and end all of work isn't the $ or how much money you can earn off the company, a lot of it's to do with job satisfaction.

    Your

actually shows a little lack of experience when it comes to the real world, yes it's nice earning the big $ but, and I stress this, not everyone is out to make shed loads from the company (be it in training or salary). I for one pay for my own training and have done for over 10 years. Sure I earn great money but that only compensates me for the crap hours I spend commuting, I learn more by running my own labs than I do in the work place and if I could give up working because I had enough to survive on I wouldn't (I get bored easily).

I was not offended but annoyed at your approach. However, I do agree with what you were trying to say. SimonD's post is spot on.
