It would seem I have completely fallen off the IT Bandwagon lately. I don't even leave my PC on 24/7/365 anymore. I'm no longer an email slave. I have 500 unread emails on my laptop and at the last count well over 200 emails unread on my main system.

I just read forums and surf the net all day and just watch DVDs all day before working 6 - 10pm at night.

I'm becoming a hippy. My hair is now long enough and I'm working on the 'tache and beard

What would you do with this poor wayward soul? :D

I never leave my pc on 24/7. For a start it boosts my bills, and im paranoid. Happy to leave it permanently on when im in the flat, but not otherwise.

There was a survey somewhere that said that if everyone turned their pcs off overnight at work, it would be substantially better for the environment, even if nothing else changed. Cant remember where I read it though (PC Pro perhaps?).

Get a hair cut hippy :p

I would never leave my pc on 24/7 also, since its right next to my bed and am also paranoid about the bills or a fire.

hi i'm grim and i was addicted to the internet lol. i used to be pretty bad when i was at uni, i hardly went any where and i would stay up all night till 7-8am in the morning surfing the net, watching films and playing games. the bubble kinda burst about 2 years ago when i realised what i was missing out on. i still have a keen interest in it but it doesn't rule my life like it used to.

It's Tough to be motivated when your in that state, how can you be positive when things around you don't seem to go your way.:( I can imagine your are fed up with your Job and watch DVD's or use the internet as a distraction from the reality that your not happy with your life.8)

You've got to pick yourself up mate, it's the only way things are going to change and get better is by you doing something about it! At the end of the day the members here on CF can give you advice and point you in the right direction, but at the end of the day it's up to you to make the effort.

It's not what you are that holds you back, it's what you think you are not. 8)

My momma always said it a little differently. She would say, "can't never did anything". Turned out she was right.

You need not to be serious at all times to be taken seriously sometimes :biggrin Of course I was only 11 when she said that to me and didn't understand what she was babbling on about! It wasn't until later on in life I knew what she ment.:biggrin:p

It you want to get the £££ together to get to the States in a few years then perhaps working more than 6-10 could be a option? Also what happened to the A+? No mention of Life+ on the CompTIA website! :biggrin

Some of you seem to be misinterpreting what I'm saying. I'm not feeling down in fact, I've never been happier :D

It was sort a confessional booth type thing, nothing really serious, well it generated a lot of conversation if nothing else :D
