Sorry I replied in the other thread.

Sorry to hear about your accident.

I've become a cynical old git. I'm bankrupt, moving out from where I'm living in February and I'm planning on emigrating by the time I'm 40. :D

Oh yeah and I've finally discovered the joys of christmas ho ho ho. :D

No worries Wizard, I will have a look on the other thread any idea's on which country your emigrating to?:blink

Most of my mates have gone down this road, the paper work is heavy and the emigration agencies are quick enough to take the money out of your account but bloody slow on processing your paperwork:x

I think Blackberry is a competitor. I know our product has a development team in Bristol (we have a phone conference with them every morning (afternoon their time), so it's not like our product is completely unknown in the UK.

Yes i hate doing cv's as well, having spent 7 years serving at her majesty pleasure i had no clue how to do it. Spent months trying to get it right and finally gave in and paid for some help (brings out fire proof vest for flaming :P), well in my case it worked out. The day i left the army i got a phone all and went for a job interview. I now have a happy new job working with much nicer people, its not cheap what i did however i think it was 3 hours well spent talking to someone and getting profesional cv help.

I would advise you not to rely to heavily on things like monster etc..., i find they just send masses of junk jobs and not often get the right type for you.

I think it's because I work in the sticks (countryside) things down here arne't as fast moving or up to date as the big city stuff.:p But Blackcherry does seem to an advantage to PDA and MS Sync. Unlike Ms Sync you can have more than two partnerships on computers and it acts like a pager as well.

I've heard other people pay for such a service and has worked out in their favour.

If you have the money (ie, won't miss it) and you're moving on, why not!

That's true, i must admitt most of the employment agencies around here still maintain that you must contain all your information on two pages. But most of the IT CV's I have seen here on CF are 4. Employment agencies:rolleyes:

Thanks -Manic Monkey I have been using Monster can anyone recomend any other job websites??8)

I hate Monster. Every other page you get when you are trying to set up your CV/account is some sort of spam. I generally use Dice.com and CareerBuilder. Not sure if they're used in the UK or not.
