Hi guyz and girlz, i made a highly detailed research on nearly whole Internet regarding how to run this SDM with somehow compatible java versions. I tried almost any version both java version wise and browser wise. However, i still get an SDM screen with everything greyed out at best.Nothing is clickable.

What im attempting to do is connecting the loopback on GNS3 to a Cisco 3640 router. They can ping each other. (from router to loopback as well as from command prompt to router) but SDM is not loaded correctly. I need to do this cos i wanna get CCNA Sec.

Note: i also configured the router with correct commands in order for it to load.

here is a sample of my config. and my IOS image version is 12.4 with this name > c3640-js-mz.124-25d_UnZ.bin

    r1#sh run

    First hits on Google:
    Java Update 13 breaks Cisco SDM 2.5 « durdle.com
Java Support with Security Device Manager (SDM)

Had the same issue when studying for CCNA Sec before :)
Just choose for the local installation (on your PC) and connect over IP
