    Hello,

I have been asked to do the ITIL v3 foundation by work, they are not funding this so I will be doing all self study.

I am not a particularly great learner when it comes to self study and do not have much knowledge on what the ITIL is for.

    Advice please?

    Thanks

The first port of call would be the official site here, I would also question why they expect you to get certified without funding, it's a tad strange in my opinion.

It's more about getting me ahead as I am the onsite IT Tech at the minute and a Supervisor job is going to be coming up over the next 4-5 working weeks so my boss has recommended if I can get the ITIL v3 foundation then this will put me in a better position for the job.... so any advice would be great.

The Art of Service book (which includes 90-day access to an online course with more test questions) should see you right on that.

I used this book to pass my ITIL exam.

    There's an update version here.
