I had a training just over a week and half ago sitting in an ITIL v3 foundation class and it was boring as well as very informative. Well cut long story short got the result this afternoon and I passed.

I wanted to sit ITIL v3 foundation and when employer put me on the course paid for I taught what a brilliant idea. Anyway, anyone else be sitting this soon as am not off to concentrate on defeating the beast 70-291.

Cheerio all and keep on keeping on:)

Thanks Sparky, yep! it's definately worth having as it's a worldwide framework used in large to mid size organisations. Also because it's a framework it can be used by an individual as well as a company, worth having on your CV as it shows initiative as well as cut up ideas.

It's a win win type of qualification to have for an individual as well as for a company. Well when you sit the course it would make more sense why it's a win win for all is used in it's entirety. Best wishes:)

Well done on the pass mate. After my Hyper-V exam I'm going to do ITIL. Not looking forward to it as I heard it's more difficult to stay awake then to pass.

I know you did a course but did you use any books for ITIL mate and which ones as this is on my list to do after my Hyper-V exam. I've noted the tip on the caffeine mate lol

I think if you search through the "Other Certifications" forum you'll find that Ken and I have both commented several times on books and resources used m8 :biggrin

lol you must be a mind reader as I've just been looking at that book but was unsure if the online course would be upto scratch. I've already bought an ITIL book but think I will purchase this as well for the online course that comes with it.

The course is actually better than the book. The book looks a bit cheap, no colour, few mistakes but has all the info you need well explained. The course has a bit more detail but still really easy to follow, you also get access to the foundation forum on the Art of Service website that has some helpful stuff. I got through both in a week and that was enough to comfortably pass the exam.
    Get it bought!
