    Hello,

You may remember another thread I done recently about which certifications to go for and I said I wanted to do ITIL but my boss says that it is aimed at IT managers while I currently do 1st line.

So I have been surfing the web trying to find some information that backs on what I am saying about it not being just for IT managers but I can not find any?

Does anyone know any sites like that?

No it's not just for IT managers as my work want me to do it and I'm 2nd line. There are various levels of ITIL and one of them is aimed at managers but I think the foundation level is what you should be looking to do. Have a look at the website HERE and it will give you a brief outline of the various levels of ITIL.

If they don't help you with it perhaps you could just fund it yourself? You don't need to spend much at all really and only really need to pay for the exam cost which was £100 when i took mine last month.

Better to get on with it yourself privately than to potentially antagonize the boss who probably won't like being told he's wrong :p

Get em to pay for the other certs.

I have a meeting with him Wednesday so I will let you guys know how I get on he doesn’t like any of the certs I have picked so far.

The 70-620 he says that Windows 7 will finish vistas short spell of use, and the MCTS 70-640 as we do not use server 2008 (so he has a point on that one)

Unless your company is using Vista I would probably agree with him on that point.
