    Good Afternoon,

I have just setup my own small IT Repairs Business from home, I am looking for a Database that I can record customers in and the work that was completed on their computer.

Does anybody have any experience with one or any recommendations please? I'd prefer to keep the costs as low as possable so it dosent have to be that technical or have any backup support.

I have spent a little time reasearching the Internet for 'Database Templates' but nothing seems to be built around IT Repairs, I don't use Office but I do use Open Office.

    Any ideas folks :)

Why not use a free helpdesk software package like: Spiceworks?

I used (for about 5 years) the invoicing and quote programe from HERE as it was specifically developed for a computer shop in the States. It was truly excleent and they do a knowledge base too.

You can record customer details/jobsheets/parts/serial numbers etc etc so have a good look at it - it's not too expensive and they're very good on upgrades and support.

Can't recommend it highly enough tbh :thumbleft:thumbleft:thumbleft

No worries - I think you can download a trial or if, not, drop them a line - they're very helpful
