    Is your mouse calibrated?

You should do this every few days. More often if you spend a lot of time on computer. I was shocked to see that this works!

To re-calibrate your mouse, click and hold on the Y below. Then drag the Y toward the g . If it doesn't work, you might want to clean your mouse.

You dumb ass. You'll believe anything

    LOL

I would have fallen for it... but someone got me with it last week at work!

Dont worry - I got him back good and proper with the old "masking tape over the optical mouse eye" trick - he actually rebooted his PC when he couldnt get the mouse to respond :cheeseyg

zeb I did that one too last month I believe, the guy thought he knew everything, only took him 3 reboots and a driver reinstall to realize.

LOL - he twigged when he looked over at me and the mail admin, who were laughing our nuts off at him. To paraphrase Angus Deayton on one Foot in The Grave: "it would have been cruel to make him reboot his PC. So we made him reboot his PC" :p

At least it took 1 reboot, this poor guy spent 20 min troubleshooting. He never had a thought in his mind to look under the mouse. But Zeb I was crying from so much laughter, I had to leave the room cause the CIO was looking at me funny.

Work pranks, I bet there are so many.

You bet there are. This site has a load of little joke programs you can install that will drive someone nuts - from little executables which make it look as if the contents of your hard drive are being erased in front of your very eyes, to little files which will turn a user's desktop completely upside-down. Hours of fun at your co-workers' expense. Be careful though - if you're not an admin (and even if you are) your employer may take a somewhat dim view of you installing these on a work PC...

For those of you with a little time on your hands, check these out - I'd love to do the silver foil one if I had the time...
