    Hi. I've got an e-machines comp with 256mb ddr ram. i've seen an ad ;

    256MB pc2100 266 mhz 184 pin dimm ddr kingston memory for £7 + £2.75 p&p.

    Is this the right memory for my comp?

    Thanks.

    I've never been very good at that so I just go to crucial.com and use their "Crucial Memory Advisor Tool". Once I've identified the RAM I need, I can either buy it from crucial (I don't know if that's an option for folks in the UK) or from another source.

    Thanks Tripwire. i was about to make an impulse buy there from ebay (10mins left).

    I didn't find my model 3230 in the list,ta though.

    Suppose I'm probably best off looking at the stick I've got.

    Another day, another bargain..

    I hope. :)

    Be careful. Putting the wrong stick of RAM in your machine can be hazardous to its health.

    I'm always leary of things like ram when they are basically being given away. I'm always afraid that ram will become a goose. :biggrin
