After I was browsing for some Certification News I came across these bizarre videos trying to promote Microsoft's MCP program. Am I missing a new style of marketing that's evolved (I dont watch much TV) or do these just make you think WTF?

Lol! I think they might be trying to add humor but are failing miserably. Very cheesy.

What do you mean? When ever I meet anyone new I always greet them with some body poppoing, spin on my head then get my 2009 XP MCP card out because I didn't get a card again and say, ooo yeah. 9 times out of 10 they respond with, "he's done well for himself". Sorry I just don't get this thread....

    LOL!

Well I can definitely say that's one way of putting things. Definitely outside the box advertising for certifications!

Ah man you light a few cigars with £50's, and all of a sudden..... I think some firms need to hire common sense consultants, infact Dave lets setup our own Common Sense Consultancy firm mate. That way when those video's are being brainstormed in a meeting we can chip in with.... "sh1te" :shades

Marketing, just the thing to muck something that was once good in to something mediocre.

I am really struggling these days to have a good reason to go down the MS route for certs, the good old days of Technet Subs have gone and there just isn't the inclination to run 60\90 or 120 day demo's.

I love the fact that VMware have gone down the route of offering similar to Technet again, it makes playing with their tech so much easier (although to be fair the vExpert keys give me much better access).

Satya had a great chance of getting people on side if he had cancelled the pulling of Technet.

Oh.... my .... word.... I thought it was quite sweet until the guy says something very dodgy indeed!

I still can't believe they've pulled Technet. It was so handy :(
