well I hate Christmas...I hate it when people start christmas stuff way too early!! As far as I am concerned its just another day in the calendar. my idea of Xmas day is sitting in front of my two PCs and playing games on one whilst burning DVDs and downloading on the other. I dont see the reason for this fuss...when I was younger...dont get me wrong I enjoyed it and that...but as I got older I just got bored of it...and realised that Santa wasnt real (even this didnt bother me).

Call me Scrooge, I dont care...but Christmas is the most over-rated holiday in the world. In fact any of these holidays (Easter as well) are just tedious...just have a few days off work and thats it...and TV during the holidays? Dont even get me started!! I dont even watch TV anymore and I am glad i dont...the amount of $h1t3 that is on these days...yikes!!

And another I hate...presents!! I hate it when people wana buy me presents. If I want something I am very much capable of getting it myself. Besides no one knows what I want anyway and even if I do hint at something thats not for them to go out and buy it!! I dont presents for people either. Waste of money, waste of time...and just completely pointless. What is funny is when I left Apple, on the last of me working there, my manager said to me: "We didnt know what to get you as everyone says you have everything." I thought to myself...is that possible? When I got home I realised they were right, I practically have everything I need and want. So I got given £25 worth of vouchers...wasnt bothered...but it was nice that they took into account that I had everything.

So yeah I hate Christmas...but I still like the Christmas songs...which I only start playing from the 1st Dec!

yes its too early :dry and dont get me started on families during Xmas time...cos at some point there is always an argument that ensues cos one member of the family never kept a certain promise or they didnt get the present they originally asked for...AAARRRRGGGHH!!!!

    I agree with with noelg24.

The amount of money some people spend at this time of year is ridiculous. Ok if you've got the money fine then thats you're choice good for you. Its the people that get pressurised into having to buy this and that and end up in huge amounts of debt that i feel sorry for.

The wife and the kids love it. Personally hate this time of year. Do I want to go to church - no! Do I want to go round the inlaws and have turkey - no! watch the queen - no!

Cheese on toast would suit me fine thanks.

Finish work, buy the beer and nice bottle of whiskey and that will do me for a week.

the best part of christmas? Dads allowed to open a beer before 10am!!!!

    BAH'HUMBUG!!!

Christmas is cancled in my house this year due to being too expensive and i'm not in the festive celebrating mood!

All the kids will be getting is a lump of coal each wrapped in brown paper, and the G/f might find a suprised wrapped with a bow in me trousers if shes lucky!

Any carol singers come round this year will be blasted away from the door by Ozzy, Iron Maiden and Slim Whitman!
If it snows, I'll be the first out there with the bag of salt to poor on all the snowmen the children make, and any snowballs thrown at me will be met wih a fullisade of ball bearings!

Here's looking to the August Bank hols in 2010!

everyone who's lives with their family seems to hate christmas where as i live away from my family and it makes a change to go home. i spose if you have to buy loads of presents it's probably not fun or cheap either where as i only buy for my close family which is mostly done online and the rest is done at blue water (5 mins down the road:))

Part of why I hate Christmas is because my birthday is three days later. Nothing more annoying than the phrase "This is for your birthday and your christmas". Thanks! But the cheap bastards expect me to buy presents for them for both, just because they are six months apart

I enjoy Christmas. I get to watch the kids enjoy themselves, and I enjoy celebrating the birth of Jesus, particularly singing in the choir.

The overcommercialization is unfortunate... but trying to actively fight that is a losing cause. I just buy a few gifts for close friends and family, and retreat to the comfort of our home. :)

My youngest was born 2 days after Christmas... we make a special effort to ensure he gets two rounds of gifts... one set for each special day. I can guess how difficult that must be.

My birthday is close enough to Christmas so that, especially when I was a teenager, when I needed something expensive like tires for my car, my parents would ask me if I wanted to combine my Christmas and birthday presents. That came in handy more than once!
