Going through 70-680 and it looks pretty easy (too easy). Am I reading this wrong or is it pretty straight forward exam?

It's not an easy exam at all. You can see from various forum searches that it's significantly harder than the Vista exam before it.

If you are using the MSpress book as an indicator then don't - the scope of the book is inadequate and the test exams provided within it are about 5% relevant.

...but I see you are a MS boffin so I doubt you'll struggle with it :)

ahh that's got me worried. Been studying it and either I know more on Windows 7 than I thought or I may of underestimated this exam. Got 9 days to make sure I don't fluff it.

I agree with ethernet0, the study materials available don't seem to cover the majority of what you need to know, but your experience will fill in the blanks for you. This is certainly not an entry level cert like the MCDST or 70-620.

Think I had better make sure I nail it then. I've got the MS Windows 7 Resource kit so will be reading up on some chapters that maybe I thought were a little easy. To be honest i wouldn't of bothered with this exam as I'm more interested in 70-686 (deployment) but thought in the end it would be best to do it to get my MCITP cert.

lol yeah was a bit worried as heard some people saying it was easy and some saying it was hard. Think maybe I got an easy set of questions. Sure 70-686 won't be as easy as this.

TBH it really depends on how good you are with client exams? In all the exams I have sat I have always found the client exams the easiest (XP, Vista and Win7 were all very easy where as the 2003 Server exams (especially 70-290 for me) were some of the hardest.

Personally speaking I think the more you 'tinker' with the OS the more you're likely to understand it.

Agree I do find client exams easier than server exams by a long way. I've bought the MS Windows 7 Resource book and plan to read it sometime this year 1700 pages of pure reading joy :blink should know Windows inside out by then.
