    Hi peeps just an intro.

Hands on installation for 4 years with only a basic qual from college.

in house training on epos network, (Retail systems)

Now for the hard work I have started mcse and taking the first exam

    next week, fingers crossed.

The trouble I have is with all the books, discs, and class room time, I seem to have no patern or structure to learning. Is there anyone out there who can give me a few tips please.

EDIT: Moderator moved post to New Members Introduction

    Hi Steve

Welcome to certforums! Nice to see a new face....

Feel free to search the boards and ask questions.

If you have a look at some of the MCSE boards i'm sure your find answers to your questions as many people have been and are in the same boat as you. So dont worry, your not alone!!

Best advice i can give is study hard and make your own notes of your weak areas for a particular topic, then focus on those on the few days before the exams, no point practicing stuff you know off by heart.

Also plenty of rest before your exam to clear the head.

Good luck and let us know how it goes...

    Matt

    :)

    Hi Steve, welcome to certforums.

I found with the first exam I was the most disorganised because I didn't know what to expect, whether I'd studied too little, too much or even used the right resources. In the end I just went for it with the happy result of a Pass. After that I managed to settle in to a routine because I knew what to expect. You may find it the same, you'll settle into a routine which works best for you and your circumstances.
